2022 Pian dell'Orino 'Piandorino' IGT Toscana deposit_12100% Sangiovese from the youngest vineyards, experimental plots, and cooler exposure zones of the estate. Soils are composed of calcareous clay, blue grey limestone, and Pliocene marl. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 1718 months in large oak barrels. Bright red cherry, plum skin, and wild herbs lead to notes of crushed violets and blood orange. The palate is vibrant and mineral with a saline edge and supple tannins. Producer: Pian
